Fire!
Went to the gym today to play some bball with my persistent room-mate.

It was a good and aggreessive workout though and now my arm aches like crazy coz we tried rock-climbing as well which was free. BUT the highlight was when we came back. So the 4 of us decided to cook with Clare being the chef.

This photo was taken before we started cooking and were preparing all of it. So in went the chicken to the oven. You see, our room is like not built for cooking with no ventilation at all! What happened was the smoke built up in our room and then we opened our main door to like ventilate it. More and more smoke and suddenly... BRRRRINGNGNNNGGGGGG. The stupid smoke detector made the fire alarm go off.

We were like OH SHIT! We though of telling the RA that it was us but then everyone was like rushing down already (usually if its a practice they'll tell everyone) as if it was a real fire. Oh well so down we went and when we climbed down 23 floors, firemen were rushing in and asking which floor. As in like REAL firemen armed to the teeth with picks and their suits and all that. We stepped outside and lo and behold, 4 fire engines, 1 FDNY car, and loads of NYU security outside already. It was so surreal. The engines had their lights on and like spinning so it looked like it was out of some TV show.

The 4 of us were like.. die la.. its coz of us that everyone is down here. And everyone was speculating who it was, what happened, did someone's toaster go off or smthing. So we went to a corner and just pretended that it wasn't us.

The drama ended in around 20 mins and we all came out for our dinner at like 11pm and finished at like midnight. Our RA came over but wasn't to scold us. He was just returning a laptop to my apt mate. Now I'm wondering if we'll be famous and appear in the NYU daily newspaper tomorrow haha. Sheesh. If only I have pictures of it. Nobody will believe me and the drama. This does not do it justice at all. At least our dinner was great haha.
