Halloween
Copied from Wikipedia:

Halloween originated as a Pagan festival among the Celts of Ireland and Great Britain with Irish, Scots, Welsh and other immigrants transporting versions of the tradition to North America in the 19th century. Most other Western countries have embraced Halloween as a part of American pop culture in the late 20th century.

It's pretty amazing how halloween has evolved to the trick-or-treating phenomenon that we have so often seen in the movie. So for the first time in my life, I celebrated Halloween! It was a good break from school man as I have had 3 quizzes and 1 presentations the last two days! Finally time to party.

For those who dunno, halloween is on the 31st of Oct. The initial plan was just to see the parade but as we were queuing up for NBA tickets in school, we had this crazy idea to go buy costumes and JOIN the parade itself. So that is what we did haha. But being poor students like us, we had a pretty tight budget. The shop is like crazy man. Lots of costumes and props and what nots. But they were so expensive. In the end I got this mask and devil's tail! So to cut the story short, we went to walk the parade from Spring Street to 21st Street (which is about 25 streets in all) and then went to Big Daddy's Diner to celebrate Sam's birthday. Enjoy the pictures!

That's just some of the pictures that I have. Looks wild and fun right. But it's actually ok only. thats because of the "disorganization". As anyone with a costume can walk in it, the police had to release pple in batches. Meaning you can only walk forward, so you only get to stick with a certain crowd and not see everything. But well, at least it was cool walking in the middle of the street seeing the pple taking photos with everyone, the crazy girls on the float etc etc!

We finished walking roughly arnd 9-ish, 10. Decided to go celebrate Sam's birthday by going to this place called Big Daddy's Diner to grab some chow. Typical american diner where even the waiters are dressed up for Halloween haha. Just some pictures since we were so hungry the whole time and wanted to just eat our burgers!

That pretty much sums up the whole Halloween, really glad we took the opportunity to dress up (even though minimally)!
