Went down to Central Park again last weekend! This time cause there was this Singaporean gathering there so thought I'll just go down to see see the Singaporeans to make some friends and play some frisbee! Oh but we explored around Central Park before that. Anyone heard of the songs Strawberry Fields Forever or heard of John Lennon? Yeap the Beatles guy. Actually prior to this I went to catch a pre-release screening of the US vs John Lennon. Its more of like a documentary than a movie but it was quite good! If singapore shows this should watch man. Anyway back to the story. John Lennon was shot dead by a fan when he was 40 just outside Central Park near his place. We actually popped by and took a photo of the place. You can see the photo in the middle of the pile. The one right on top. In the middle and the right is the area of Central Park called Strawberry Fields. Yeap yeap that song. I was there! Haha. The only link to John Lennon is the word imagine set in the middle of the "memorial" (like like a design on the ground). It is one of Beatle's most famous songs and was actually written about the vietnam war! Walked walked around and saw people playing softball and even having boats in the ponds there! So nice! Oh man just look at the pictures.

Anyway I just came back from a wonderful dinner at Oh! Taisho, a pretty authentic jap place at St Marks Place. Come to think of it, it was amazing. Had dinner with 2 jc classmates, Yaoxian and Wanlin. Haha. Pretty cool eh? Wanlin studied at Swarthmore and is now working in NYC while Yaoxian is technically a junior at Stern. Been 5 years since we were classmates and now we are having dinner in a jap place in new york city talking abt so many stuff ie americans and their sex or how childish the pple here seem to be blah blah. Was nice catching up with them man. As you grow older, you realise how everything seems to be in a different perspective. So many opportunities here. Should I apply for banks here and get posted to Singapore? Haha the starting pay here is like 5k USD per month not inclusive of bonus, signing on etc etc etc. Sheesh and thats for the normal pple. CAN YOU IMAGINE? So damn unfair. Anyway walked arnd abit.. went jap supermarket get mochi before walking back. Seems like a dream right. Meeting with JC classmates overseas and having lunch. WAHOOOO! So old already haha. 23 when we start working. So is it worth it to pay to go overseas? Hmmm tough question. Comments anyone?
